Main role
     Mainly used for asynchronous motor overload protection, It works for overload electrical current overheated components, bimetallic strip heating bend to promote action mechanism to drive the contact action, to disconnect the motor control circuit is to secure a motor power, have the effect of overload protection. In view of the bimetallic strip heated bending process, the heat transfer need a long time, therefore, thermal relay cannot be used as a short circuit protection, and can only be used for overload protection of thermal relay overload protection.
1. When placed, if the heating element in the lower part of bimetallic strip, bimetallic strip is soon hot, short action time;
2. If the heating element is next to the bimetallic strip, bimetallic strip hot are slower, the action of thermal relay long time;
3. When the thermal relay and other electrical appliances when put together, should be in below and away from other electrical appliances more than 50 mm, in order to avoid being influenced by other electric heating;

Daily maintenance
1, thermal relay action should be reset after a certain time, automatic reset time should be done in 5 minutes, manual reset after 2 minutes to press the reset button.
2, when the short-circuit fault, to check whether hot components and bimetallic strip deformation, if any abnormal situation, should be timely adjusted, but not element will be removed, nor bend a bimetallic strip.
3, the use of thermal relay should check once a week, the specific content is: Thermal relay overheating, odor and discharge, all the parts with or without screw loose fall off and remove bad, surface without damage and clean or not.
4, the use of thermal relay should be maintenance once a year, the specific content is: Cleaning, repair parts, testing insulation resistance should be greater than 1 megohm, electricity. After check thermal relay, in addition to the connection screw, screw other don't move.
5, change the thermal relay, the newly installed thermal relay must be in conformity with the original specifications and requirements.
